16th Edition of START-EAT-UP, in Porto: Reservation Management

When reservation optimization turns empty tables into operational efficiency and predictable growth.

On July 23rd, The Social Hub Porto hosted the 16th edition of START-EAT-UP, bringing together entrepreneurs, managers, restaurant professionals, and technology partners for a debate focused on one of the most critical pillars of modern operation: reservation management.

In a competitive and constantly changing market, managing reservations is no longer a simple act of jotting down names in a diary. It is a direct strategy for capacity management, reducing no-shows, personalizing service, and increasing venue profitability.

Once again, the START-EAT-UP ecosystem proved that the future of the restaurant industry lies in combining intuitive technology, efficient processes, and the human factor.

Experienced speakers and complementary perspectives

The 16th edition featured experts and operators who shared their practical vision on how to turn reservation management into a growth engine for different restaurant formats.

Practical knowledge, real-world cases, and useful technology

The great value of START-EAT-UP lies in the alignment between theory and the reality of the restaurant business. Throughout the sessions, concrete cases were shared, including lessons learned from mistakes and strategies tested in the field.

It became clear that there are no universal solutions for every business model, but rather common principles: planning, conscious adoption of technology, and a rigorous focus on the customer experience.

Ā

Networking and the power of community

Beyond the moments on stage, the networking breaks continue to be a signature of the event. In the welcoming atmosphere of The Social Hub Porto, entrepreneurs, brands, and partners shared contacts, discussed new projects, and explored future collaborations.

After all, the transformation of the restaurant industry is built on the continuous sharing of knowledge.

Ā

A sector focused on innovation and growth

The 16th edition of START-EAT-UP closed with a certainty shared by all those present: digitalization and the professionalization of reservation management are fundamental to the financial and operational sustainability of the restaurant industry.

We thank all the speakers, participants, and partners who made this edition an enriching experience.
